Wednesday Wonderful

I know I was supposed to be blogging about a giveaway but things have just been a little hectic around here with the frenzy of end of school ritual.

I did want to post about Project Wonderful which I have been contemplating for a while now. The program is a solution to affordable advertising for small businesses and it uses ads that are on a bidding system so that you can really get some big exposure for very little funds.

I have put a few bids out to some smaller sites and I will see how it turns out. I have also signed up to have an ad bar on Psilology which is subject to approval of course so stay posted on the status. Great ads at rock bottom prices coming soon so stay tuned!!!

If anyone has some feedback about their experiences with Project Wonderful I would LOVE to hear about it.

I love Project Wonderful.

About a month ago I decided to sign up and the results have been pretty darn good. No sales from any of my ads, but with my new concept, I didn't expect sales. On the other hand, I have gotten a LOT of exposure.

I think the real trick is in designing your ad well to encourage people to click on it.

Project Wonderful provides excellent stats so you can see your ad performance. You can fine-tune where your ads are shown, too.

One caveat when placing an ad box on your blog. (An ad box is the space that you sell to other advertisers.) Unless you choose to approve every ad by hand, be prepared to frequently check the ads bidding on your space. I have labeled my ad space as "Safe for Children" but some online comix artists still try to place their risque ads on my spot. To remedy this, I have banned those advertisers. It took some fine tuning to get to this point, but in the end I'm glad I signed up for Project Wonderful.

I'd LOVE to see more ads from the talented people I know and love at Etsy and Indiepublic!

(Sorry; long comment, but I wanted to put in my two cents worth. Maybe that was four cents' worth of opinion...?)
